Ischia is the biggest Napolitan island and it is essentially composed by volcanic rocks and a flourishing nature that made the island deserve the name "Green Island".

Ischia is famous for its blue sea, for its beautiful beaches, its mineral water with therapeutical characteristics and the main centre of Ischia is the inhabited area.

The centre is divided into two parts: Ischia Ponte, the oldest, in front of the Castle little island ordered in XV century by Alfonso of Aragona, and Ischia Porto (the harbour), the most recent and touristic area.

Other interesting places are also Casamicciola, one of the most famous thermal resort of the island, Lacco Ameno, that is famous for the mushroom-shaped rock and Forio, near Poseidon Garden, the big thermal and seaside resort.
