Images from Imperia & surroundings provided by Panoramio. This photos of Imperia are under the copyright of their owners.
When we first saw the Imperia, we were so surprised what a pretty city of the world. Imperia was united two towns, Port Mariuzio and Ongelia in 1923. The city consists the port and vieux ville (old town), so we can both visit the two faces of it, the ancient hill castle, typical Italian Riviera city-along the sea with the colorful Mediterranean buildings, pink, yellow, orange, green, etc.
Ongelia is one town of Imperia, smaller, but is more Industrial. The town has large shopping boulevards, famous olive and pasta factories; also the big cruises and ships are in the port here.
Port Maurizio is another town of political, commercial, cultural and residental area. Please refer to the part of Port Maurizio.
Many times before we have passed by the highway, but never thought to visit. This roman bridge in the photo of Imperia News, is similar to one of the bridge in Venice , so it attracted me to visit her. I have come with a wonder mind, but my doubt has cleared out by her beauty, and bridge is just like photo, real ancient roman bridge.
