There appears to be no photography restrictions at the Acropolis; at least
there wasn't on 15 Dec 2006 when I was there. (This was alluded to late last
year by Jeremy I think, see below). Anyway, I know Athens is one of the
love-it-or-hate-it cities but I loved it. Great neighbourhoods, fab food,
friendly people, interesting new beverages (shots of masticha, anyone?) and
beautiful December weather. Yes, there are several millennia of horrid
architecture there but the exceptions make up for them. Is it among the
noisiest cities on the planet or is it just that the off-season is the ideal
time to do renovations?

I ended up spending five days in Athens, three days on Mykonos and Delos,
and three days on Syros. Greece is definitely on the go-back-to list ...
along with all the others.

Cheers
