Officina Gastronomica Resort arises from Peppe Giuffrè’s desire to keep up a tradition , to create a “taste lab” that has the will to cradle its own guests, offering a wide survey of speciality goods that reflect the history and the cultural heritage of our country.
Far from the crowded town centre , in a “low acoustic polluted” zone ideal for a relax stay, the Resort is born in July 2009 by the renovation of the stables of Villa Burgarella, a 19th century ancient nobiliary residence, and it has 8 rooms, 3 restoration areas, 2 inner courtyards, bar, internet point and reading room.
Thought and carried out with pleasant forniture and accurate topics typical of western Sicily baglios of the end of 1800, with the intention of wrapping the guest in a refined but, at the same time, genuine atmosphere, the eight rooms, named by sweet herbs symbolizing Trapanese cooking, have been adopted by as many Italian wine shops.
The eight house units, one of which is equipped for disabled, are all furnished with private bathroom, hairdryer, safe, autonomous air conditioning/heater, fridge-bar, TV sat.
And it is just the monitor to act as a link between relax and gastronomy: through an in-house programme, the guest will live our kitchen experiences remaining in the comfort of its room, will look forward to ordered courses visually taking part in their preparation sitting in our main restoration area, but he will also be protagonist, actively sharing the various cooking courses organized by our management!
Arriving both from “Vincenzo Florio” airport of Trapani Birgi and from “Falcone Borsellino” airport of Palermo Punta Raisi, at the end of A29 motorway to Trapani, follow the direction towards Erice, and turn left at the first crossing towards Trapani, then get on the second street on the leftside: this is via Gustavo Ricevuto, and, at the end of it, you will find Officinagastronomica.
