La Locanda is located in Modica, in a house of the early nineteenth century.
The building’s present style results from a renovation that merged traditional and minimalist elements.
The house is surrounded by a lovely garden of over 1500sqm, emanating the unique scents of a variety of plants: almond, olive, apricot, orange and other beautiful Mediterranean trees.
La Locanda is located in Via Risorgimento, within the town’s shopping centre.
The hotel’s rear car park can be accessed from the Via Rocciola Torre Cannata.
La Piccola Locanda can be easily reached from the road Strada Statale 115.
It is the ideal starting point to explore Modica, one of the most charming towns in the Noto Valley, and the neighbouring Ragusa, Scicli, Siracusa, Agrigento, and Piazza Armerina. The seaside with its beautiful beaches of finest golden sand is at only 15 minutes drive.
A few minutes walk is all it takes to reach either a partner Sports Centre, the well-known Polo Commercial shopping centre, a main bus stop and some of the town’s renowned pizzeria and trattoria.
THE BLUE ROOM
This charming room looks out over the Mediterranean garden. Its charm is enhanced by stylish furniture in the distinctive Kartell design (chairs, bedside table, and chandelier).
THE GREEN ROOM
Its colour recalls the olive trees of the Mediterranean garden. It is a graceful double room in a contemporary style, complete with all amenities. A bright atmosphere emphasizes the room style.
THE PEACH-ORANGE ROOM
This is a graceful double room that looks out on over Mediterranean garden. Its charm is enhanced by stylish furniture in the distinctive Kartell design (chairs, bedside table and chandelier) and handmade wardrobes designed by the Locanda’s very owner.
An extra single bed can be provided in all rooms upon request.
THE ORANGE ROOM
It has single and three quarter French beds. A prestigious oak floor is meant to enhance the charm of the room and match its overall colour. An independent balcony provides access to the garden and the opportunity to enjoy outdoor breakfast during the warm seasons.
THE YELLOW ROOM
Its colour evokes the rays of sunlight warming the peaks of the Hyblean Mountains. It is an elegant double room with gracious details in the typical style of the Piccola Locanda. It is complete with all amenities, and opens onto a terrace and the garden.
How to get here:
follow the road Strada Statale 115 to Modica’s Polo Commerciale (Shopping Centre). If you are coming from Siracusa, Noto, and Ispica, you will see La Piccola Locanda by the first roundabout. If you are coming from Catania, Ragusa, and Scicli, this is by the last roundabout you meet.
