The Miami Hotel is located in Torremolinos (Costa del Sol, in Spain), in the area named 'Carihuela'. It is less than 100 metres to the beach.
Originally, this building, built around 1950, was
designed by Manolo Blascos, Picasso's cousin, for a well-known gypsy dancer of Flamenco: Lola Medina.
She was the queen of the gypsies living in the holy mountains in Granada.
This house was purchased in 1957 by the present owner who transformed it into a hotel, while
preserving the charm of the Andalusian construction.
Open 11 months a year, and benefiting from the hot climate of the region, the Miami hotel is ideal to spend holidays in a traditional Andalusian setting, far from the high rise buildings of the Costa del Sol, in a family atmosphere.
You can have a rest in the
tropical garden around the swimming pool or take advantage of the sea and shops along the beach.
The connoisseurs of the Spanish life will also find fun places in Benalmadena (10 minutes on foot) where they will have the chance to enjoy some unforgettable evenings.
As Torremolinos is located
one hour driving distance from Granada and two hours from Sevilla, the Miami hotel is the ideal place to stay for alternating visits and beach.
Current capacity of the hotel : 26 rooms (from 1 up to 4 beds), all equipped with private bathroom and air conditioning / central heating unit.
Each room also contains a safe that can be used on demand.
