Just a short walk away is one of Rome's most famous landmarks, the Colosseum, as well as the sprawling ruins of the Roman Forum. The area is locally know as Rione Monti and is characterised by its small, winding lanes and typical mediaeval squares. Getting around Rome is also made easy, as the city's main train station (Termini) and transport hub is conveniently just a stone's throw away.
